Wet, wet, wet!!

Even though i am from Cornwall i like the rain!! there comes a point when enough is enough!! this weekend has been a nightmare...poor Hoochi needs a pair of wellies! lol

Cant wait to Mid Downs show as at least the small classes are indoors! and Crufts is on its way! wooohooo...

Also cant believe it is March tomorrow!! Soon be October and my bros wedding! omg then i will feel very old! as i used to change his nappies!! lol...

All my woofs are well at the moment so i feel very lucky...i have been reading alot about lung worm and what treatments are preventive (advocate) and which ones actually deal with the problem (panacur)...but also read today from a vet website that there are no drugs on the market that actually totally prevent a dog getting lungworm! so do we use Advocate and try and prevent this worm and subject our dogs to having chemicals put on them which can have a worse effect! or do we just wait and see if our dogs get lungworm! From what i have read from websites, they have declared that if a dog does not eat slugs/snails then they cant get lungworm! So as my dogs dont go near slugs or snails does this mean that they are less likely to get lungworm!! one for thought....

Half Term!

Ha ha cant believe i have been on half term!! thought i had grown out of this stage when i was at school, college, uni!! and being nearly 40! ahhhh

I spent the week catching up on college work and Karen offered me Tikka to groom, which was great for me as putting my skills into practise outside of the grooming salon makes a massive difference to where i am and how much more i need to learn....at least Tikka didnt end up bald! lol thanks Karen for your help xx

Cant believe it is only 2 weeks till Mid Downs...cant wait to get back doing shows not for the competition (but that is cool) but meeting up with old friends (literally! ha ha) and seeing their new dogs!

Peps went to the vets this week...she woke up and couldnt even stand let alone jump on the sofa/bed or in the car...i thought she had done something serious to herself...but after a quick trip to the vets she had an ear infection!! cant believe that end can effect the other end!! lol....she is now back to her naughty self thank goodness...

Soon be off to Crufts...wooohooo never buy much but just like to go and watch the agility and look at what i cant afford! lol Mum is coming up from Cornwall to accompany me so that will be cool...

Its also been a week of friends having major operations and this has been on all our minds this week...thankfully all going well so far...get well soon Ian x

Newlands Corner to Shere

Today we completed a 5 mile walk from Newlands Corner to Shere and back again past Silent Pool!! Well according to my friend, Dawn who had her GPS with her!! lol...woofs were very well behaved for a change...its great walk as you have woods to walk through then open fields and stopping at the pub in Shere for a drink before starting the walk back to the car park before it gets dark!! Little Hoochi is ready tired now and fast asleep on my knee!


As you can see from the photos...it was 5yrs ago that we did this walk as Cola is a pup in the piccies!! lol

Look what came into the Grooming Salon!!

Troy is a stunning English Mastiff!! He was HUGE and a big baby! lol he came in with his best mate a cairn terrier who he dotes on and gets anxious when she is away from him!! ahhhhhhh

Here is also a photo for my mum of a C/S who i clipped on Mon as well as my first Airedale and Labradoodle!! bloody nightmare coat (the labradoodle!)....dont get one of those if u dont want a not one thing or the other kinda coat!!

I have now completed 4 weeks of Level 2 grooming...getting lots of experience and really enjoying the course...soon be over though!! ahhh
