Phoebe grows up!! a bit!

Phoebe came to say hello a couple of weeks ago and as you can see she is nearly fully grown now! shes nearly 6 months old and a little monkey! she lives in Cornwall and already loves the beach...toooo much and of course playing with other dogs! except Cola! lol

Chippenham Show

Up early on sunday...and thats not me!! i managed to get to the show by 6.40am!! I do love this show but unfortunately we never do well at it...Hooch was like a bullet in the first run and caught me of guard so took the wrong jump...i should have had weetabix for breakfast!! then in the jumping he went in the second weave pole which he has never done in his whole agility career!! he normally pops out the end...then we had a horrendous g4-6 agility pull throughs etc...which Hooch has only just mastered properly...i was really pleased with him as he did the really hard bits but missed the a frame contact and again motored towards the wrong tunnel!! he should have turned right for the collapsible tunnel but again it was equipment recognisation which fair doos to him as hes still learning!

As a treat ha ha he came in for a trim today at the grooming salon! at least he smells better now...

MEGA CONGRATS THOUGH TO RYAN HENNESSEY WHO WON G3 AGILITY WITH FIZZLE MAKING HIM G4! AND TO ANN FOR 2 X 2ND WITH INKY IN THE 6/7 JUMPING AND THE G6 AGILITY!! getting close now keep banging on the door Ann one of these days the key will fit!

EUREKA!

WOooooohooooo finally after months of Hooch waking up on a Thurs between 5-7am shaking and shivering it didnt happen this morning!! WHY well i have spoken to different people and then was advised it could be this condition:

Hypoglycemia is a medical term composed by the word 'hypo' meaning low and 'glycemia' meaning blood sugar. Toy breeds suffering from Hypoglycemia therefore are suffering from a low blood glucose level that makes them shaky and weak. The cause behind this tendency is the fact that Toy breed dogs have a low body mass that makes it quite a challenge to properly store blood sugar.

Well last night before i went to bed at 11.00pm ish i fed Hooch some kibble and a cream cracker! No problems this morning he woke up usual ate his breakfast and was full of it! i was soooo pleased...fingers crossed now i have some answers and it has saved me going insane or going to the vets! lol

Crufts and stuff!

Yesterday mum and me drove to cruffffts...got there for 8.20am! as i had to take woofs with me i had to get up early on a sun to walk them first!! grrrrr we had a great time shopping...so much so that we didnt enter the main arena all day!! lol...left by lunch time and was home intime to meet Linda for a nice walk on the common...dogs were happy and that is always my priority....i will say though that cruffts didnt have its usual buzz about it whether thats because there is no press box etc...and all the competing happens away from the main halls im not sure...but still worth a trip

Managed to buy hoochi a lovely red dingo collar! very hard to find cool small collars! i also bought a t shirt and coat for a tenner! lol

Hoochi is still waking up on a thurs morning with the usual starring into space and shivering...ive been advised to feed him something late wed night as we are thinking it is his blood sugar levels that are low...if this doesnt work it may b trip to vets!

Poodle Puzzle!

i have a problem with Hoochi!! Every week on a Wed night/Thurs morning he wakes up and can not settle...he stares into space and shivers! He has done this all night before now...i dont believe he is cold as he quite often sleeps under the duvet with me (even though his dog bed is on my bed!) but i would be grateful for any suggestions/ideas why this is happening every week without fail...its always the same night/morning! He also doesnt eat his breakfast but once he is up and had a walk he is fine! Everything else is normal...there doesnt seem to be anything different that i do on a wednesday than any other day of the week!
