Newlands Show

It was nice to do a local show this weekend...started with a very tight handly agility course...long jump then a frame and jumps ha ha thats as far as we got! BUT Hooch got all of his contacts and weaves just ran past a jump as he came around me the wrong side...he shouldnt be so blxxxdy small! lol...first time we have had contacts all year so things are looking up! Next 1-4 jumping 111 dogs in class which is not normal for us smalls! lol...Jo and Dela (from our club) did the course in 18 secs...now i know i cant beat this as Hooch is smaller and just not that fast especially when there are 18 obstacles!! i aimed for second place or top 3 and did the course in 20 secs...dont think hooch has ever done a course in this time so he was going some...we ended up 3rd but had the same time as 2nd place apart from 0.3 of a sec!! nothing really...pleased to get a lovely trophy

Next 1-7 helter skelter...well i ran first and as i was running around the course there was still an idiot walking the course!!! the judge made him move very quickly but i should have been given a rerun as i lost Hooch and he hesitated at the tunnel and got a refusal!! not fair but as it was end of day and Hooch was tired i wasnt going to ask for a rerun but this should never happen...the scrimer should check with the judge first before saying i can go!!!

Good day all in all nice to catch up with Debs, soph and carol
p.s. Hooch cracks me up as soon as i put his trophy on the stairs he goes and sits next to it as if to say i won that!! lol

DIAMOND SHOW

Jane and i decided to try Diamond show this year as it was a new show and venue...just off the M5 Bristol..lovely and quiet and fab views of the Severn Bridge!! we had our own private woods to walk in which was very cooling for the woofs...now to agility!

After taking Hooch to the chiro last week i was dubiase how he would do at the show but i need not have worried...as on the Sat we had 2 runs, agility and jumping...he just ran past a jump in the jumping...my fault and in the agility missed his dog walk contact so i knew he was back! Today i only entered him in the jumping...first was G1-4 jumping we ran first and it was a Hoochi course all working from behind which he loves..he won the class by 2 secs completing it in 25 secs! not bad for a toy poodle! woohoo finally got a clear round...only 1 more win now for grade 5! next was the g3-5 jumping and again he did a lovely clear round but i switched infront of a tunnel and ended up playing catch up which lost us a lot of time but i was very pleased to finish 2nd another trophy!! So pleased to have my little man back :)

Mega congrats to Jane for getting her first clear rounds and places with Brigg...8th in G3 jumping and 18th in G3 agility! woohooo

Hoochi visits the chiro

Phew now i thought little Hoochi was starting to be a naughty boy!! but in fact the poor fella was out of sink...literally his neck was out and his back and pelvis!! some major injuries according to my brill chiro, Merrissa...no exercise for the weekend!! ahhh hes never been left alone in the house before...luckily i can carry him on a walk as many of my friends will vouch for! He has to go back in 2 weeks but fingers crossed he will b better...

Luckily i know when things are not right with my woofs...Hooch wasnt showing many signs and was never lame or physical pain...but as he had been doing wide turns at training, not liking the seasaw or a frame (bunny hopping down it) and walking like John Wayne...i felt that there was something not quite right but then u think am i wasting my time and money if there is nothing wrong! Im sooo pleased i took him to see Merrissa as i was getting to the point of thinking he was just being naughty and not listening to me at shows but in fact he couldnt do tight turns etc...as he physically couldnt...wooohooo no excuses now little man :)
